Two musical works with a focus on recycling (and cycling)

There has been a noticeable focus on recycling in this spring's productions at Wrap.
Sustain is a concert play in which five musicians perform an especially composed new work by the Bergen based composer duo, Sagn. The music will be performed using a variety of instruments that have been custom designed and built using re-cycled plastics, and the set for the show will feature impressive, large scale objects, also made from re-cycled plastics.
The work on this project has taken place in various stages, and in various places, with everyone meeting for intense trials and workshops at Wrap.
Even Kråkenes was back at the wood and metal workshop to build a giant plastic tree amongst other exciting things.
Sustain is intended for an audience of anyone from age 12 and upwards. It will premier during Bergen's Festspillene festival, with performances at Cornerteatret on the 25th & 26th of May.
Bicyclophony is a symphony for bicycles and parts of old bicycles, composed with 50 pupils from Ådnamarka School in collaboration with BIT20 Ensemble.
The developers of this project have been using our wood and metal workshop to chop up and adapt old bikes to be used in many different ways as musical instruments.
Bicyclophony will also be performed during the Festspillene festival (Bergen International Festival) on Friday the 2nd of June at Torgalmeningen.
