Autumn Program Launch

Monday, 9 September 2024 19:39

Wrap continued to serve as a space for artistic projects and collaborations throughout the summer, even while core team (Leo and Veronica) spent three months at their alternative base in Sunnmøre.

Freelance technician, Priscilla Navas, took care of various changeovers and setups, both in the wood and metal workshop, in the AV Lab, and in our various project rooms. Reception and the upkeep of shared facilities was managed by Julia Ducrocq, Elise Duus, Suzanne Starr and others.

Leo and Veronica’s return to Bergen coincided with the launch of Wrap’s autumn program with the seventh edition of Sonisk Selskap, closely followed by the first in a series of six new Audioglimt concerts.

There is one more edition of Sonisk Selskap coming in the beginning of November, with a unique ensemble recruited and led by Sonisk Sheriff, Bodil Lunde Rørtveit.

We will also visit our inspiring partners at Kjelbju-Låven in Gulen, taking the tremendous Speaker Park installation to this remote location with our bus, Vandana, as part of Wrap Satellite. While in Gulen, Leo Preston will compose a new site specific piece for the installation, which will be presented alongside existing Speaker Park repertoire.

We hope you can join us and experience some of this exciting program with us over the coming months!
