New productions at Meteor Festival

It’s time for Meteor Festival, where BIT-Teatergarasjen are again presenting an exciting list of new theatre productions from Norway and around the world. Amongst these are two new Norwegian performances that are partially produced at Wrap. These are: Turning Into Saints by Grith Ea Jensen & Susanne Irene Fjørtoft, and Kazak: Ekspedisjonen by Noncompany.

Turning Into Saints, which premiered at Black Box in Oslo, boasts a particularly noteworthy set, which Fjørtoft has been building and developing in our workshop for a long time. We look forward to see it in context at last.

Other important news:

Wrap is now happily connected to the Bergen public transport system with the new bus number 12. This bus stopes right by Wrap on it’s route between Montana and Fyllingsdalen via the town centre. This makes it very quick to travel between Wrap and the centre of town.

The kit that Wrap has curated as an integral part of the international dogma project, Kunstikit, is now sold out in it’s original 30 editions, due for delivery at the end of October. This is one sign of the enthusiasm with which many of the countries performing artists have met the Kunstikit project and our workshops. We hope it will be possible to produce some more of these kits, in order to promote the project and engage performing artists in Oslo. For more information about Kunstikit, see: Kunstikit

Nå braker snart Meteor festival løs. Her kan man se en lang rekke spennende teaterstykker fra både norske og internasjonale scenekunstnere.

Blant disse finner man to nye stykker som er delvis produsert på Wrap. Disse er: Turning Into Saints av Grith Ea Jensen & Susanne Irene Fjørtoft, og Kazak: Ekspedisjonen av Noncompany. Turning Into Saints, som hadde premiere på Black Box i Oslo 19. oktober, har et spesielt merkverdig scenografi som Fjørtoft har arbeidet med i verkstedet på Wrap i lang tid. Vi gleder oss til endelig å se den i kontekst.

Andre store nyheter:

Wrap er nå tilsluttet det offentlige transport nettet, med den nye buss nummer 12, som kjører rett forbi oss på vei mellom Fyllingsdalen og Montana via sentrum.

Denne bussen gjør det veldig kjapt å reise mellom sentrum og Wrap.

Kittet som ble kuratert av Wrap som en del av den nasjonale dogmeprosjektet Kunstikit, er nå utsolgt for de opprinnelige 30 eksemplarene som blir klar for levering i slutten av oktober. Dette viser den store entusiasmen som mange av landets scenekunstnere har vist for Kunstikit. Vi håper at det kan være mulig å produsere flere pakker, slik at vi også kan holde workshop i hovedstaden.
