With A View to The Wrap Sound

From December 2007, Wrap has established it’s small shop window exhibition space.

The window is exposed directly to Ibsensgate, the source of “the Wrap Sound”: a constant rush of traffic! However, in addition to the motorised traffic, there is also a constant stream of pedestrians and cyclists.

Using this exhibition space as a means to communicate with these passers by, Wrap intends to create a space to inspire, provoke, entertain, surprise and motivate reflection. This Activity in the window will reflect the experimental and inventive spirit of Wrap arts centre, and artists in Bergen.

The work we exhibit can be old, new, an experiment, a small comment, a big deal, a work in progress. Works will be exhibited for one month or longer, depending on the demand. Artists, art students, whatever your field or background: send us an application to exhibit! Send a short description of your proposed exhibition to: . If we succeed in gathering funds, there will be a wage for artists who exhibit. We are also happy to provide workshop facilities if these are required in order to realise exhibitions.
