Guitarist/composer, Stein Urheim, and record producer/musician, Jørgen Træen, premiered their new piece, Krympende Klode (Shrinking Planet) in Greighallen during Borealis festival for experimental music on the 5th of April. The peice was acompanied by analog visuals by Ana Jorge. Both the music and the scenography for Krympende Klode were developed and created at Wrap over the course of two residencies supported by Borealis Festival in our AV Lab and workshop for wood and metalwork.

On Sunday 08.03 BIT-Teatergarasjen shared a new dance project with dancer Caroline Eckly, choreographer Marcelo Evelin and guitarist Kota Yamauchi at Wrap. This project is being developed at Studio Bergen and Wrap, where the group has been working for the last week in our Large Project Room.

This week we are pleased to have Susanne Fjørtoft and Kjartan Andersen at Wrap. Susanne has worked at Wrap with various projects and performing arts groups, and together with Kjartan they have constituted the core of Happy Gorilla Dance Company which was active in Bergen for several years. Happy Gorilla developed a unique aesthetic and approach to the creative process at Wrap, where almost all their performances were created from 2011 to 2017.

Wrap’s administrative team is now working from home due to Corona Virus precautions, apart from occasional obligatory visits to Wrap for organisational reasons.
